30 Day Challenge-Day 3

What I am most proud of.........

There are 2 things that I am very proud of but I’m only going to list 1.

Going to and graduating college in 4 years. To some, this may seem like an easy task but to someone that absolutely HATED school, it wasn’t.

While growing up, there was no other option than going to college. My parents beat it so hard into my head that if I didn’t, I wouldn’t amount to anything.

So, I graduated HS probably middle of my class somewhere. I hate studying, I didn’t like school, I wasn’t necessary good at it but I passed all my classes and even excelled in a few. I was definitely better at math than social studies where you just have to memorize everything.

After HS, I went to a Community College more for the fact that I had NO idea what I wanted to be when I grew up. And sadly enough, I STILL have no clue!

I played soccer, met some great people and had a blast. My grades were really good too. YAY! I graduated with my Associates in Liberal Arts. 2 years down, 2 more to go!!

Then it came time to decide what to major in when I would proceed on to my Bachelor’s Degree.

To most, this is also a very easy task. Again, not for me! Haha I knew what I loved doing but couldn’t figure out what major would best suit me.

I loved working with people, so I chose Psychology. If anyone had told me that I wouldn’t be able to find a job with just a Bachelor’s, I definitely would have picked something else.

I transferred to SUNY Oswego, which for those of you who don’t know, that’s right on Lake Ontario. HELLO cooold, snowy winters. Again…WHAT WAS I THINKING??? I hated the snow!!

Anywho, I graduated in 2 years and couldn’t wait to get the hell out of there. I had a rough time with being away from home and having a boyfriend at SUNY Geneseo. Those two things made me a little depressed which caused me to have anxiety attacks, loss of appetite, vomiting, etc. It was just horrible. Not the experience I was hoping for when going off to college.

I stuck through it and couldn’t be happier that I went to college and now have my Bachelor’s degree. It was very hard but definitely made me learn many things and brought me a few great friends. I wouldn’t change it for the world except maybe the major that I chose. :-)
